Owen Gund
Sports Broadcaster

I’m a sports broadcaster and communications professional with a passion for telling great stories, whether that’s from the broadcast booth, through written content, or on-camera interviews. Most recently, I spent two seasons as the Director of Communications and Broadcasting for the South Carolina Stingrays (ECHL), where I called over 150 professional hockey games, led media relations, and helped shape the team’s voice on and off the ice. In 2024-25, I was honored to be selected as a finalist for the ECHL Media/PR Director of the Year Award.

Before that, I worked with Boston University Athletics, Hockey East, BBIG Communications, WTBU Sports, BU Today, and College Hockey News, gaining experience in live production and content creation. I enjoy working across departments to bring ideas to life, especially when it involves collaboration with coaches, players, and partners.

When I’m not behind a mic, you’ll find me playing pick-up hockey or tennis with friends or enjoying a competitive game of cornhole or spike ball. Fun fact: I try to track down the best chicken parm in whatever city I’m visiting. My passion for chicken parm is a close 2nd to my love for sports.
